No. You don't have to pray...
No. You don't have to pray...
I was going to say Congress needs all the help it can get to not do the harm it does, but I doubt any prayer could help them.
And sachem said it best!!!

I am surprised most of you won't use polls.
But thanks for the comments the same.
We did not say a prayer on our real estate board of directors ... trying to recall if we said the pledge of allegiance. Been a long time to recall it.
We did say it all during my years in public schools.
I honestly think the prayers in congress are too weak. A good solid prayer could help congress wake up, I am hoping.
a) separation of church/state - especially since it's almost always a christian prayer
b) pledge - I don't know why people need to publicly proclaim their patriotism. It's meaningless
Harmless? probably. Stupid? definitely. Waste of time? yep. They are barely in DC as it is, why waste the time on these meaningless things?
It would be just as harmless to read a poem at the beginning of the day. Why not do that? More edifying, for sure.
Well, we don't want the Muslim prayer said since it calls for killing America on Fridays.
Church/state is not defined as you suggest.
We can discuss that of course.
Oh you call the pledge patriotism?
I had not looked at it that way.
Why are you anti being loyal to country?
I'm against it because it's unnecessary and only encourages fascism. FDR and our government saw how great it worked out for the Nazis and Il Douche's Italy and decided to implement it in America, to great success.
But since you mention it, I have long opposed both the 16th and 17th amendments.
