If someone is intelligent and informed and passionate about subject matter, they will naturally see things through the lens of that passion. They don't necessarily think they have a "political agenda", per se, they just think that they are correct in their analysis.

There is a difference between a political objective and political bias; I think she would admit to there existing a high level of bias at MSNBC, but she's saying they don't go out with the intention to be biased and to present a lopsided view. I think that MSNBC probably does have an objective or direction and that she is maybe in denial, but I also think that about Fox.

The name of the thread is a bit misleading.

I would agree that they don't go out and intentionally try to create a lopsided view. They don't have to. That's their default position. They are all of a like mind. No need to conspire or make a plan.

The thread title is not misleading at all.

What I like about her, he ALWAYS gives her Critics and Equal Opportunity to come on her show can prove what she said is wrong.

Funny how most don't take that challenge ... HUmmm, I wonder why?

"I think the thing that is underappreciated about MSNBC is that we don't really do anything as a company, that we all sorta get to do our own thing," she claimed. "There may be liberals on TV at MSNBC, but the network is not operating with a political objective."

Would Maddow still make this claim today?

If she made it 3 years ago, I see no reason why she wouldn't stand by it now. It's just as ludicrous a claim now as it was then.

I mean, msnbc was probably more openly leftist years ago than now if anything tbh. Their was a time they gave shows to Keith Olbermann, Ed Shultz, and Al $#@!ing Sharpton FFS.
