If you are passionate about something then be passionate about it. I'm not embarrassed or regretful of my emotions towards this issue and at the same time I can still acknowledge that there are many other problems across the African continent. People that criticize other peoples passions and reactions should really look into themselves to discover what they get passionate about. I'm certain if someone dedicated their life to helping the poor in Africa they'd be criticized by others for not putting that effort towards the poor in this country. Everybody has their niche interests and passions an if it's protecting lions then that's awesome, someone should have that passionate interest just a someone should have a similar interest in poverty, abortion, wage disparity, medicine, energy, flight, food production, education, and so on and so on. Pick something, or a few things, you love and be that advocate for it. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
