excuse me but is this topic about your new discussion forum where all you have to do is to have someone thread ban a poster when it gets too uncomfortable for you? How very progressive. LOLOLOLOL.

Even though I signed up for this Board in 2012 I haven't been posting until recently and I see this new feature
as a good thing.

As I see it...it's not about whether you agree, disagree or have an added comment regarding the topic.
THE POINT is to stay on topic and not derail it with BS.

Well, I had my first and last post in that forum. The process doesn't work when trolls can have at it and $#@! up the discussion right out of the gate. And I get mods aren't on 24/7 and I'm not blaming them, but it doesn't work.

It also doesn't work when, when they're finally threadbanned they just go and start the exact same thread.

So that's all I need to see of this new forum. Does not deliver.

That's precisely why it was done the way it originally was...but somebody $#@!ed that over.

I don't see the problem. Troll trolls, gets banned, discussion continues course. It can only be derailed if the trolling persists. It beats the hell out of the old process where non VIP veteran posters like myself, CO, Mister D, etc, are presumed guilty from the start and are subject to a vote where we could be judged in part by inactive posters and people that probably shouldn't have their spot.

That's not sour grapes either, I was voted in the forum but declined, it's the principle.

Can't have it both ways Cap. We don't have the resources to park one mod on the discussion thread exclusively. We responded to those who thought it was elitist, so now it's not.

I know, and again just to be clear, I'm not criticizing mods, I get that part of it. But it doesn't make it not work any more though.
