    User points? And all the other points?

    How does this work? I notice that one new member has NEGATIVE user points.

    08-30-2015

    04:10 AM "X" has lost -499 Points for User points
    04:10 AM "X" has earned 3 Points for threads points
    04:10 AM "X" has earned 2 Points for Posts points
    02:42 AM "X" has earned 3 Points for threads points
    02:42 AM "X" has earned 2 Points for Posts points

    etc.
    Can someone please describe how this point system works, or at least point to a detailed FAQ about it?

    @OGIS - my limited knowledge on this is that these points accumulate by people repping you and thanking your posts.

    I also think that there is more to this formula including how interactive you are also, by posting and repping others. I think, not overly confident on the latter point but the former point I'm pretty sure of.

    How negative points happen is a little beyond me. The forum stopped negative repping a long time ago but maybe infractions cause it? Not sure.
