"I got men whose lives are my responsibility up there sir, I want the 332nd as our escort, I looked into it and uh, since they been escorting bombers they haven't lost one to enemy action sir, and they sunk a ship and if its all the same to you, I want the 332nd to take me to berlin and back".
Two things that I have to say about that statement made by the bomber pilot to his commanding officer...
1. Only the American government would say or do something like that... its, you know... a little too much like equal.
2. I've never experienced anything like it.
No I'm not in the military... but I have equal working pride here in the Civilian world... So where is the manager in my case... requesting me to do the job ?
I worked in a manufacturing plant, and by myself... I accounted for two or three truck loads a week being delivered... and I got the opposite treatment... and a written report saying that a company shouldn't hire me.
That right there is why nobody gives a f)uck about the USA or its economy... or what some repuke thinks about people not giving a f)uck about "productivity" anymore.
We spent a century at work... here in the USA... only to be treated like sh!t.
