Mentions has been updated.
1 You will not be notified if Ignores mention you.
2 You can mention the OP by typing "@OP:".
Remember, mentions are a way to call attention to a member in a post. You type an @ followed by the member's name. For example, "@OP:" will be converted to @Chris and Chris will be notified with link to your post.
Ignores are members you put on Ignore. When you read threads, posts by Ignore will be hidden.
The new feature is when someone on your Ignore list mentions you, you will not be notified.
The last feature, @OP: will convert to a mention of the OP's name. If I start a thread and you type "@OP:" without quotes, it will be converted to @Chris and I will be notified with link to your post--unless, of course, you are on my Ignore list. For this to work you must include the @, "OP" and the colon (":"). It might be easier to just mention the OP by name.
