Looks as though NZ will stay out of Obama's Trans Pacific Trade Pact. The US wants to destroy our pharmaceutical system and continue to ban our dairy industry from entering the US on an equal footing.
This happens to be fine with us. China is also excluded. China is our largest trading partner and wants to buy even more of our (expensive) foodstuffs than it does already. Its middle class is growing and is demanding more product.
As no-brainers go, this has gone into orbit. We already have a free trade agreement with China. Chinese tourists underpin our tourism industry. China is the largest market on the planet.
No point in China or NZ bothering about Obama's lame effort at South Pacific economic supremacy. I suspect a rival anti-US pact will emerge. Which NZ will be part of. Possibly along with Russia and Indonesia.

Come sit down beside me I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I held my own hand as a small sign of trust
And together I sat on the fence
Anon. Very anon.
No NZ butter for you, Peter.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
