Inspired by this; http://bulwer-lytton.com/ , myself and a member of another forum began a thread to draw out the bad writer that exists in all of us, and it's hilariously fun and addictive.
This is not a contest and there will be no judges or winners but there needs to be a few basic rules:
Entries must consist of one sentence. If necessary, the sentence may be extended with colons, semicolons and ellipses.
Any genre is acceptable (keep it clean, though...no explicit raunchiness)
Entries may be of any length, but shorter is much better....50 to 100 words is a good rule of thumb.
Entries may be drawn from any point in your "story", but try to focus more on the opening "hook" of your hypothetical novel.
It's more fun if you approach the challenge as a serious author who doesn't know they're terrible....some of us won't know the difference.
To start the ball rolling, I will lead off with a few of my entries from the other forum.
Have fun!
