Liberal or Conservative?

I realise it is more complicated but if you had to say you were either a liberal or a conservative, what would you classify yourself as and why? Again, I know there is more to it but every day I see people categorizing each other as one or the other so I thought it would be interesting to see where people would place themselves with just the two labels.

If I had to choose it would be conservative. I'm not liberal in any political or philosophical sense of the term but I'm not also not a conservative in the sense Americans use the term.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Well in the old sense I am conservative, what is called conservative today is not my definition

Who does one vote for if a conservative?
The GOP is no longer a united party, it's so fragmented that if Trump were to run as an independent, they would have no chance whatsoever.
Who does one vote for if a liberal?
Three contenders, one of them whose name is already forgotten, one who is more of an independent than a Democrat and Hillary.
What a choice for any sane American to have to make. Which probably excludes most of them on this forum.

I put liberal, even though I don't really think of myself that way(I know a bunch of you do though). I have many views that fit poorly with the liberals, and many others that fit poorly with the conservatives.

Liberal, but only because my positions are probably 51% liberal and 49% conservative. More often than not though I take liberal positions.

I didn't vote, cos the word 'liberal' doesn't mean how Americans use it. And lol, the ultra conservative political party in Australia call themselves 'The Liberal Party'.
It doesn't mean a Communist or something bad.
