Actually Marx grew impatient and left the ranks of libertarian anarchists for authoritarianism with the Coomunist Manifesto specifying "socialism" or the dictatorship of the proletariate as the transition.

(Of course no authoritarian rad leads to anarchy.)

As far as I know there is no blueprint, so to speak, in Marx's work outlining how such a society can be accomplished. I could be wrong. Teh call for revolution is one thing. A functioning order quite another.

Right, he didn't have any $#@!ing clue how to get to where he thought he wanted to be, so he left us socialists to do the work for him.

I wouldn't judge Marx too harshly in that respect. He was an intellectual. It was his "job", so to speak, to spread a vision, bring an awareness of possibilities etc.

When I hear $#@! like that I think "the guy spent his entire life in someone's basement reading textbooks, never spent an hour in the real world".

I'm probably close to the truth too.
