A really True Statement ...

I learned a lot about hate when I first started work.
I was employed in the head office post room of a multinational company and as a youngster, everyone had seniority over me. One of the employees had only one leg (in those days a wooden peg leg) and he ordered me around like nobody's business as I had not yet learned the art of fighting my own battles.
He made my life a misery every day with his do this - do that and as we went home after work each day, I would watch him waiting at the edge of the platform for the train. I would visualize my coming up behind him and just as the train was arriving, I would stick my foot in front of his peg leg and push him in the back.
This image went on for months as I hated him more and more. Then realization dawned on me. There he was in front of me on the platform, blissfully unaware of my thoughts and what I wished for him. It wasn't him who was suffering, but me.
That's what hate does. It burns you up inside while all around are unaware of it and the only sufferer is yourself.
So, despite what people think of me, I haven't hated anyone since and have no cause to hate in the future.

I don't really allow anyone to have that much influence on me that would allow that type of emotion ... probably if I got to the point that I had to hate someone, then I've long dismissed them in my day to day life. I think if I'm spending any of my time Hating someone, that would mean I'm focusing on them ... and I'm betting that would be a bad thing for everyone involved.
It's for certain that haters are a dime a dozen. Most times they truly hate themselves and reflect that hate upon others. They have real internal problems with themselves and unfortunately take it out on innocent people. Their superiority complex and bigotry is reprehensible. Their prejudiced methods of cutting down others is despicable. The fact that they continue in that vein is outrageous.
Let's see how much care and compassion Trump and Republicans show for their fellow Americans to truly help them out in their time of need.
Let's start the count to see if Trump comes through on the many things he promised to do for Americans. If he doesn't, along with a Republican Congress, then what's his and their excuse?
I agree ... Haters tend to live in a world where there are groups of Haters like them. Haters always associate themselves with other Haters and use words like, we and us ... because they have no accomplishments on their own, other than putting down other individuals and associating them to other groups Haters Hate.
hating someone is like setting yourself on fire and hoping they die of smoke inhalation

Funny that all but the last two posters in this thread spread the most hateful posts and OPs on tPF. No self-awareness.
