I can only imagine that many of the people who decry a lack of great actors these days just don't get out to see that many films. There are always some wonderful young actors coming up, and many of them are going to be around for decades. Tom Hardy and Edward Norton are two of my favorites; they routinely act circles around many of the big "stars" of a generation ago. Not to mention that the advent of cable t.v. and streaming services has forever eliminated the "television stigma", and great actors now move seamlessly from one medium to the other and back again.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

"Only a rank degenerate would drive 1,500 miles across Texas and not eat a chicken fried steak." - Larry McMurtry

Is Hollywood going to grow up and become what it was intended to be, that when a character can star in films.
"Houdini" is an amazing film, of who could get himself out of about every jam, but today what is waterboarding?

That would have been a surfer perhaps one day not too long ago as the reality of war became the realistic ozone.

"The Green Berets" starred John Wayne, who was Susan Hayward, who did she star with in so many of her films?

The beauty and glamour of yesterday's film stars, the strength that men showed being both gentle and yet stearn.

Were their lives perfect? Probably far from it, but there was always class, and there was forgiveness just for some.

The Tower of Tyre inside of Hollywood is a far-fetch from what it once was, a real sword fight, who could fight him?

That is, who could fight Zorro but the tower of Shakespeare's Philip St. John Basil Rathbone for wonderful readings.

"Gone with the Wind" of Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, of the most beautiful films made, to are there any comparisons.

They dressed what they were. Does anyone believe that was just the way things ware, that was not realistic facting.
