    True, remember the Zimmerman Martin controversy where the media altered the news report to paint Z a racist before the story was ever told. Remember Congresspeople crying that M was 'hunted down like a rabid dog?' remember 'hands up don't shoot' and that of course is a trick question, hands up don't shoot never happened. Remember Baltimore where citizens and the law lost control of the streets, remember Ferguson where the same happened?

    Or how both "sides" are fine with spending and borrowing forever , but half support a deficit based upon enabling while the other half support a deficit based upon imperialism.
    Why not put amounts here? Put down what we tax in. Subtract the entire defense budget. Try your hardest to remember that num$er. Now take the amount we tax in. Subtract entitlements. Our Medicaid, Medicare, SS. What number do you come up with? Answer with actual numbers rather than a usual deflection and let's have a laugh together while we review those numbers. It's going to destroy your argument here, but let's go through the exercise for sh!ts and giggles.

    Or how you repeatedly defend the indefenseable with statements like "yea so my gals a liar but your guy is an even bigger liar". Or how you passionately invoke 1/3 of the BOR's, reject another third and have no $#@!ing idea what the last third is even about.
    Many of you wouldn't know a state's right if it slapped you up side the head an therefore support half of the federal government's intrusions and speak out about the other half
    The federal government does have a primary purpose, donttread. What is that? Beyond social engineering, beyond deficit spending, beyond cultural design or states rights naivety........ there is a Constitutional primary purpose for our federal government.

    How can you not get simple concepts such as:
    1) The Constitution is a package deal, not a pick three sides menu at Texas Road House or that
    2) Outspending your revenue by 15 or 20% a year is inappropriate and that debt is debt whether the money was used to fund failed wars or failed social programs.
    That what we're teaching our children today, donttread? What do you mean how can one not get simple concepts of our Constitution? Many people live in debt in this instant gratification culture, the nation's they cannot comprehend. Why not go through America today, donttread. Roll through from music festivals to theme parks, from small towns to big cities from the deep south to the entire Western US, even our halls of government........ Have citizens been taught the Constitution? They're citizen rights and responsibilities? Many people like you donttread despise the country they live in and take for granted everything they have are equally naïve to what made it all possible. Many.....spend almost just as much effort as you do in tearing their nation apart and criticizing everyone who lives in it.

    Almost the key word in that last sentence.

    I'm offering to re-educate you, you know. Take you under my wing, learn you a f'n thing or two. I'm a strict teacher though.

    I am throwing the math challenge out for the thread too

    Tax receipts- total defense expenditures = what $number?

    Tax receipts- entirety of entitlement spending = what numb$r?

    Then subtract the two answers from each other.

    Let's try huh, put donttread's math to the test here.

    Total expenditure for defense spending..... let's pick any year, 2008 the last year of Bush's term a common favorite used by the Left. someone correct me if my numbers are wrong.

    Tax receipts of 2.55 Trillion - Total defense expenditures of 594 Billion = someone break out their calculator.
    Now....Tax receipts of 2.55 Trillion - entitlements....591 Billion Social Security....637 Billion Medicaid/Medicare.......221 billion welfare.....165 billion in federal pensions.....= someone break out their new laptop and use the advanced processing power to add in federal payments for schools, localities, states, our enormous EPA, IRS, nearly every other federal agency from Indian Affairs to the VA. Don't forget disaster relief, cell phones and every other 'necessity' people think they're 'entitled to' today and come up with a dollar figure keeping in mind that our common defense is our governments primary and most necessary responsibility, it's the primary reason for our federal government's existence.

    Who wants to play?

    Under the autonomy of the internet, people often times say things that they don't want to say in public. To that extent, that is what the internet is all about. However, within that group are trolls, shills, sock puppets and all types of societal malcontents who abuse the system. One big problem with that is the complete and utter failure for many posters to discern fact from opinion and in the process, reality from unreality. For some people, opinions become their reality, hence a fact and they cling to them as articles of faith and will not ever budge from their perspective. Personally, I have better things to do than argue with someone who claims to be impeccable on something based on their skewed version of reality.

    By the way. Today's 2016 equation...... for debt clock and other members..... like donttread......

    Tax receipts = 3.315 Trillion
    The Constitution's primary responsibility cost = 584 billion

    Medicaid/Medicare = 1.06 Trillion...... that's a T kids.
    SS = 900 billion
    welfare = 304 billion
    Federal pensions = 250 billion
    Interest on national debt = 232 billion
    Total federal spending = 3.7 Trillion(school systems, states, localities, the enormous federal government infrastructure, fed agencies, etc)

    Thus ends today's lesson. Good night sweet Prince

    I was asking for something more than a pot meet kettle response, but ok.

    It seems as if the problems you identify first far outweigh the one that vexes you so far as the intent is concerned.

    Medicare and Medicaid alone costing nearly double the totality of defense expenditures.
