Sean Hannity’s TV ratings are dropping like flies, and the problem was significant after the 2012 election, which could spell an end to its popularity and as a conservative talk show on Fox News.
The Hannity show lost several viewers after Mitt Romney lost the election to Barack Obama.
While the decline in viewership was normally expected following a campaign year for both the Democrats and Republicans, the drop was about 50 percent and may be more steep than what was initially projected, suggesting that viewership could be a free-fall.
The ratings have yet to bounce back and many say that it may have everything to do with attitudes of the host and their guests.
“Before the election, Hannity was riding high in the ratings and topped thought leaders on the right, like Dick Morris, Ann Coulter, Peggy Noonan and talk radio bulldog Mark Levin, who predicted Obama would lose in a landslide,” the New York Daily News reported. As they say, all good things must come to an end.
The Hannity show could follow the same exit as Glenn Beck, when Beck’s TV viewership continued to drop.
