Two nights ago a couple I met were chatting with me. If I'd known they were from California I would have avoided them but after some chatting about Oaxaca the husband popped up and said, "Well, a lot more gringos will move here if Romney wins." Then he and his wife laughed. "Why?" I said, quite seriously. "Well, all of our friends have said they'll leave." "Oh, liberals have been saying that for 30 years but you know how those son-of-a-bitches lie. I don't think one's left yet because of an election."

Two more people I won't have to chat with in the future.
