I believe the issue is that the data being collected can't quite be trusted to give us a real picture because, to use an example, unemployment statistics don't include people who have just completely given up. Jobs reports also don't always indicate how many of those jobs are part-time or only pay minimum wage (sometimes they do, seems most often they don't depending on source). If someone was laid off from the auto industry where their wages were like $30/hr or more and their alternative now is to work at the new McDonald's part-time, that's not really helpful and social welfare programs would still be accessed since that former auto industry worker can't really pay his mortgage and feed his kids on a part-time wage from a fast food restaurant.

Stop it ... just Stop it ... that's a useless and worthless static to keep reciting over and over again.

If I woke up tomorrow and decided to never work again ... why would you care, and what could you do about it.

Looking for work is a choice.

Second ... if YOUR Skills don't match a Job Requirement, what are you asking The United States Government to do about it?

The ONLY Jobs that The United States Government controls are United States Government Jobs.

Now United States Government NEEDS it's Failing Infrastructure to be worked on, and this Job can't be outsourced. So ... ?

Stop Dreaming of 1950's Manufacturing Jobs ... they're Gone and they're not coming back.

Well, to be honest, the only time I have ever heard or seen the arguments about U-3 or U-6 and how it should be used to calculate the true unemployment numbers was in this administration. If a republican wins the W.H., let's see if the trend continues.

That's true. Can't argue with any of that.

Where is all the conservative responses. After all, if Obama created the unemployment, he also created the reemployment.

But I'm sure I will be told I am wrong, otherwise closet conservatives will remain in the closet.

Presidents create unemployment, not employment. And it was Bush took us into the Great Recession, not Obama, he only prolonged it.

Look at the various measurements of employment. Look at the labor force participation rate. Look at the income levels being reported.

    Then post.

Other thing needs looking at is where's the break even point? What I mean is there are more and more entering the labor force, with, granter, boomer retirement offsetting that, but is 200000 new jobs enough to break even with demand from the labor force?

There are more working age people out of work now than ever before and the left paints that as a positive.
