In the observation of people for the categoration of behavioral types
Priceless. I placed this comment with the fiction writers as they say the most and speak loudest.
I enjoy reading the comments because i love to write fiction, abhor reading it.

Who else similar to Grisham do you recommend?
Good morning. As Mark Twain once said " truth is often stranger than fiction because fiction has to make sense". A fiction writer as Grisham has 0woven the elements of a fiction what are they..
    Setting, conflict, characters
point of view etx it still has to tie together in a way that is coherant and makes sense. Example "cotton rode a white horse into the sunset as all of his countrys people fell to the ground saying " cotton why hast thou forsaken thee" is true butca bit hard to digest. Example 2 " cotton drove away and throngs of people at the wailing stalk of cotton" is also true but not
Believable because of one detail. The people know i always ride a white horse, not drive away..

Excerpts from subtitled "Granduer Canyon "

( my 3rd in a series of 4 books ttled. "Granduer Canyon /All Hail the Cotton!

Yes, he does discuss, in the way of characters, things that exist, which I would not define as 'leftist loonery'. Take Gray Mountain, for example. It follows the coal mining industry and it's impact. Does it push the majority of eco-based causes? Yup - but it also states the truth of how some coal mining operations ripped the mountains down and it's impact, which is proven fact.

I won't turn this thread in a political debate, but I want to know how the different sides view certain things. There is always (or should be) room for learning.

For sake of brevity I will get to the point. I said lon ago and was reading commentary this morning saying the same. Per "climate change". That the extreme tree hugging from the left could be a detriment as it takes an already over politicized issue and polarizes the players". It works too. Obama could do little else but he was good at creating division , stirring up hatred and dog whistle racism. Well, considering his audience didnt have to be very good at it.

Being up to date with what leftist loons are plotting is a good thing, but to call it "learning" is a stretch. False narratives are not "knowledge". I mean no offense, if you like to read Grisham, by all means, do so. I tried a couple of his books, but he's not for me.

Have you ever been to Harlan, Kentucky? If you have, then you would know what was described in Gray Mountain, at least the aspect of what some of the strip mining causes, is not a false narrative.

Fine that you don't care for Grisham, not everybody does.

Its an older book but I really enjoyed " A Walk Across America"
I liked how he described the areas he went thru. The part where his dog died really put me under. I can only imagine how the author felt

Right now I'm reading Alan Dershowitz's book Guilt By Accusation. It's actually quite interesting.
