I've decided to finally read the third book in Cormac McCarthy's Border Trilogy, 'Cities of the Plain'. I guess you could say I was saving it because I didn't want to see it end. So now I'm re-reading, for the nth time, the first book, 'All the Pretty Horses' - probably still my favorite novel, all time - which I'll follow with 'The Crossing', and then the concluding volume.
McCarthy's hatred of commas is very evident, and some of his run-on sentences are epic - but when you write like he does, you can thumb your nose at grammatical niceties.
