You're onto something here Pete. But for a dude worth half a billion, it was pretty stoopid not to have created a living trust.

Truth be told, i think Prince was all about the art and didn't give a crap about money.

Apparently there is a full-blood sister and 5 or 6 of half brothers & sisters.

As for the death tax? Good .. 100 million or so will make a nice impact against our national debt.

If it is true that Prince did not have a will, the federal government and the state of Minnesota will make off with more than half of Price's estate- like Visigoths sacking Imperial Rome.

Set up a trust. Don't let the government steal money you earned.

Isn't it amazing how so many people see nothing wrong with government confiscating the wealth of others ? It's especially odd when the wealth confiscated already generated millions in tax revenues.
