The media predicted Trump's failure about 100 times. The media is not all-powerful. In fact, the media's voice creates a fairly visceral and instant negative reaction in the public eye. It's why Bernie keeps winning debates, and Trump keeps increasing his popularity every time the media attempts to have a stroke over what he last said.
