Well I am finally rebuilding some of these new parts. I started Running last Fall, and we had so much ice this winter that I did not get a lot of outdoor work in. The Knee and Ankle still puff up pretty good when I run more than about 2 miles or I pick up the pace.
But On Sunday there was a small 5 and 10K in my area, and I was able to run the 5K. Not at a competitive pace but respectable in my age class and beat a few of the little bit youngers.
the knee held up well, the Ankle not so much, but I still made it.
So now it is on to the 10K Halloween weekend.
The funny part is before the injury, I never had any interest in these races, Though I will call it a run, as I won't be able to be competitive with all of the replacement parts. But now it seem kind of important for me to prove that I can do it.
Plus I can get a little sympathy Massage from the Red Head, but don't tell her!
