I never understood why "dog" was used as an insult. I guess because they'll hump and/or eat anything. So yeah that probably works for most members of Congress.

I have two bars where patronize and know several of the staff and managers. One near work, and one near home. The one near home is a cool Irish Pub. I went there on St. Patrick's day and they waived me through the line and the cover charge and gave me a free drink for showing up.

You know it's a great place when they take care of their regulars like that.

I come home after a week on the road, wife inundates me with issues, kid asks me for money, toilet is leaking - the only one who is honestly happy to see me is the $#@!ing dog.

True. I do tip very well. When those high tips don't grant future favors I stop visiting. That is the free market.
