    Great quote. And liberals think they're progressive. What they really are is historical retreads of greed, taking from the productive to give to the lazy while ensuring their constituency.

    Small-minded and ignorant of history, they're clueless that the world has traversed their failed nonsense numerous times, each time tearing down the society in which they piggishly lived.

    Caesar, like Obama, put himself above the Republic, changing it to an Empire by appealing to the masses and bypassing the Senate using todays ‘executive action.’ The Senate remained, just as the Senate did under Caesar, but lost much of its authority.

    Nothing Obama did is unique. Bread and circuses - Caesar threw bread to the crowds and Obama throws welfare - an update in a modern age.

    The problem with Obama is that he let himself be built up into something by gullible liberals and their fantasy of a utopia, which he then couldn’t produce and which made him look a failure. As no one has ever been able to heal a country (whatever that means), repair the world (create a utopia), or change the climate of the earth, he became a victim of his own fantasies. He never did succeed in disarming the world, discovered that people don’t want to spread their own wealth around and that economies don’t grow on hope.

    I think what western liberals fail to understand is that outside the west, and that’s the most of the world, they not only sound strange, but other countries are very wary of them. From someone equally afflicted saying that welfare creates wealth, to the homosexual behaviour of marching through the streets naked being something to do with equal rights, in most of the world would get you arrested as a sexual deviant. Kenya told Obama before an official visit to leave his homosexuality behind and Russia had to warn Western athletes coming for the Olympic Games to leave children alone. Those are pretty damning statements of how the outside world perceives western liberalism.

    I definitely think modern day social liberalism is a form of mild psychosis; the inability to distinguish belief from reality, which produces the gullibility in the op. Liberals are not intrinsically unintelligent, so how else would you explain it. Often a child-like view of the world, lots of foot stamping, and a constant longing for a father figure (big government) to provide a world view (belief) to replace the reality which they’re incapable of understanding themselves.

    Ok. I don't recall school children ever sing songs about Ronald Reagan. I don't recall them singing "mmm mmm mmm Reagan".

    I never read rarticles from the members of the media asking if peope have accepted Reagan as their savior yet.

    I never saw pictures of Reagan with a halo on his head.

    There is no doubt that on the left, there is genuine worship for Obama. That actuall supports my contension that liberalsim is a religion to the followers of the liberal faith.

    Conservative respect their leaders. Liberals worship theirs.

    Don't forget back in 2006 children from Gulf Coast states serenaded First Lady Laura Bush with a song praising the President, Congress, and Federal Emergency Management Agency for their response to — of all things — Hurricane Katrina. The lyrics were as follow:

    Katrina could not stop us, our hopes will never fade.
