I don't think more regulations will be put in place. People have been drinking $#@! like mouthwash and cold medicine for years. They may put it behind the counter, but that's no biggy. Emergency contraception is behind the counter.

What's truly a travesty is that fluconazole isn't OTC in the US. There's your war on women, folks.

We have a drug epidemic in this country, I've said that before. Yet progressives keep wanting to open the floodgates of access to drugs.
Most of the restrictions I have come across concerning drugs related to cooking meth is that you can only buy one bottle or whatever at a time. People who cook meth need a lot of most of the drugs they use. If you walk in and try to buy the entire supply, you're not going to get it or you are going to be reported to the police. If you go in and buy what a normal person would need for a health issue, no one should care.

It's an anti-fungal drug used to treat yeast infections, among other things. In Canada, one over the counter pill and your infection is gone within about 24 hours. In the US, you get a 3 or 7 day kit of OTC vaginal cream to use at night and get to suffer through it while that takes 2-7 days to resolve.

It is seriously cruel to do that to American women. Seriously.

The abuse of anti-diarrhea drugs is giving some users a heroin-like high.

The Annals of Emergency Medicine recently published a study detailing the dangers of loperamide, the primary ingredient in Imodium, which is sold over-the counter.
Loperamide, an opioid, can cause serious heart problems if too much is ingested, the Food and Drug Administration warned Tuesday.
While the recommended dosage is between 8 milligrams and 16 milligrams per day, some people have taken as much as 300 mg in one sitting, CBS said. In addition, calls to national poison centers involving over-the-counter drugs such as Modium climbed 71 percent between 2011 and 2014, that report said.
"Loperamide's accessibility, low cost, over-the-counter legal status and lack of social stigma all contribute to its potential for abuse," the Annals of Emergency Medicine said.
The authors of Tuesday's FDA report recommended restricting over-the-counter sales of the anti-diarrhea drugs, similar to other easily abused medications like pseudoephedrine, the decongestant used in Sudafed and other pills that can be processed into methamphetamine.
FDA regulators said in an online posting that they are monitoring the issue and considering next steps.

Time to stock up on those 200-count bottles of generic loperamide they sell at CVS. Then I'll be sitting pretty.

Pretty easy - read the ingredients, identify an opiate, Google the therapeutic dosage range, and what these idiots seem to be missing, the final step... double check the overdose threshold of all drugs in the Imodium or learn how to separate the opiate from the other ingredients.

I have serious doubts there was anything like that much thought put into it.

I used to do a lot of drugs and I tried some off the wall $#@!. You always check those things I listed. There are websites devoted to it and to identifying more drugs people can obtain easily and get high off.
