Trolling and trolls

I hear ya but I didn't see that when I was a mod. From my experience I'd say if a complaint falls on deaf ears, go to admin, he's a very reasonable person and will take it up with the mods. Open discussion could undermine the forum more than trolls trolling. I don't know, maybe the forum needs some member advocates.

Do you have any other mod experience than here? Because where I come from there was no admin to really talk to. You turned it into a mod and that was that. Nothing happened or you were targeted.

Hey Mods. How long does it take to put out the trash ? Its festering right in the middle of the floor, and is starting to rot.

Yes, founded and admined a forum for about 6 years. We had mods for moderation and advocates for members and leaders to manage forum room content. All action was discussed to consensus. Here, by my experience there're fewer but no one acts alone and it's not a clique, everything is discussed and argued out till you want to pull your hair out sometimes. Admin and mods are very conscientious about doing what's best for the forum, imo.

Junk Room is a place to send trolling and baiting threads. But it doesn't stop trolls from crapping in valid threads.


As this place attracts traffic, as it has, the trolls are going to follow. Its what they do, and what they have done here now. ADMIN said they were trying to create a great forum .................. well ? Is pulling the trigger on a troll so hard ?
