    There are plenty of mass shootings where it is a white man with mental health issues. People just want to kill people sometimes, and then everyone else is left trying to figure out why since most mass murderers are killed.

    It is easy to just assume it was his religion, but if he was not practicing it strictly there seems to be cause to question whether "radical Islam" was the motivation.

    There is no denying that there are radical Muslims who are committing terrorist acts or are planning to.

    But in this specific case, it seems a little unlikely that religion or radicalization had anything to do with it. It could have just been your "garden variety" mass murderer with mental health issues, or something.
