Most college students do want to learn but they just want more say when it comes to their education. They want to be involved and they want to be heard. They are paying for the education, they are choosing the classes, and their time is just as valuable. Yes some of the concerns may seem silly at times but it's their school, their education.

College students shouldn't have an opinion.

It's sort of the title of the topic.
"College Students Don’t Want to Learn: They Want to Teach You About Identity Politics"
It focuses on Brown which is at the far end of the progressive university scale. It certainly doesn't reflect the reality of today's average college student.
That being said, there is some validity to the idea that this uber PC environment is flawed and isn't the open to ideas that counter their agenda. But as I said, it's an extreme case and really isn't reflective of education in general. Yes there is a PC culture in education, but there is a PC culture in hospitals and anywhere else a large group of people work or learn. It's there to level the playing field. It doesn't always work.

The only thing I'd hire a college student to do is catch my pokemons. A few days ago, I found a Mewtwo at a funeral. I pushed the pall bearers aside and lept over the casket but it turned out I had no pokeballs left. Worst day of my life.
Did you want a serious discussion? I'm a very cereal person.
The OP suggested that the opinions of college students doesn't matter because they may involve identity politics. Seems like a gross, unfair generalization. Since the premise is unsubstantial at best, I really don't know how to respond to it.
