Biggest problem with GMO label is the degree with which it has been tampered with.

If the are simply creating hybrids through selective fertilization I don't have a beef - that happens in nature all the time.

But when they start hacking chunks of the generic code of the plant to enable it to literally drink pain that will kill it , that is where I have a beef.

The food supply needs to be accurately labeled and given better categorization. So consumers can choose the level of modifications they consume, or which levels they'd like to avoid.

    Fear profits a man nothing.

    I agree.

And another issue apart from the science is the business model to suck farmers into buying seeds from the large agri-businesses such as Monsanto year after year.

    What, in your town?

A large number of people in the developing world remain malnourished.

What mechanism creates genetic modifications "in real life"? How is it different from humans doing it? Are you overweight? Is that why you don't mind eliminating the source of a great deal of food? We fat, ignorant people no longer remember that our food supply seldom met out needs until recently. We pat ourselves on the back self-righteously for demanding the elimination of plants designed to thrive and produce improved yields.

To what end? Where is the balancing of the risks we take because we live?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Starvation occurs in places where politicians use food as a weapon.

Is there a law requiring the farmers to buy seeds from Monsano? Is this ACA for farmers?

They enter into contracts with Monsanto and realize they got into a bad deal.
