Unfortunately 70% of us think we're going in the wrong direction with them, hence the "depression" with half (or more) of us wanting to continue down that road. Those disenchanted with Trump might equal out those disenchanted with Hillary. That leaves minorities, special interest groups, government employees, educators, unions, illegal immigrants (and all their spouses) left for Hillary. Probably more than half ride in the cart, the rest pull it.

It will take a miracle for Trump to win--maybe more Hillary scandals in the works?
Good post, but curious -- if 70% believe the country is going in wrong direction, then why do more approve of Obama than not?

    RCP Average 6/26 - 7/26 -- 49.6 46.8 +2.8

I think a lot of that has to do with a do-nothing Congress who spends more time investigating Hillary Clinton and repealing Obamacare than they do actually getting things done.

That's what makes me feel that the country is going in the wrong direction.

As for Hillary's supporters, you left out WOMEN. Trump is going to get fearful soccer Moms but overall, he's upside down. And there just aren't enough white men to make up that difference.

Trump's support among female voters is even lower than Clinton's deficit among male voters. In that result, 54% of female voters reported they would support the former secretary of state, compared with only 30% who said they would support Trump.

Lol, the Clinton scandals will keep on coming, ready or not!

I confess, I do consider solving the immigration problem, keeping the SCOTUS conservative, renegotiating unfair trade deals, repatriating overseas money, rebuilding the military, fixing the VA, ending the race war, bringing jobs back, discouraging companies from leaving the US, destroying Isis, making allies pay up and forego 100% dependence on us: governing!

Of course they will - because when Republicans run out of semi-legit Clinton scandals they become endlessly creative making a few up.

    Thanks, you make good points.

I admit I was as offended as anyone when Trump's comment on Carly's face was made. In fact my preferences for the GOP candidates were just about the opposite order in which they dropped out-starting with my favorite: Jim Gilmore.

You're right about soccer moms too-my wife hates Hillary with a flaming passion! A lot of it is because of how Hillary joined with Bill in attacking his "victims". Women seem to have gotten over that, until Cosby, no?

True - that was a whopper by Harry.

But as it turned out, Mittens only payed 13% on his capital gains and wrote off millions he gave to the Mormon church (actually a for-profit corporation that invests in luxury condos and shopping malls).

Then there was the 100 million dollar offshored IRA (how does that happen when around $6500 per year is maximum contribution?).

Sad that we'll never see Trump's taxes. Doubt if he's paid a penny in years.

Obama benefits from a fawning liberal news media that refuses to blame him for anything that goes wrong
