US State International Exports
The states are political entities of their own. This chart shows the level of dependency each state has on international trade. Overall the US is not reliant on exports- exports made up 12.6% of the GDP in 2015. Compare that with Germany which approaches 50%.
Only 5 states get more of their GDP from exports than the national average: LA (20.18%), WA (19.48%), and TX (15.79%) as examples.
