I can understand people disliking him because of the "pretty boy" thing and his crying and whining to the refs when he gets hit, but he is one of the best ever.

That's not even arguable. At least it's not arguable to anyone who has a clue.
I think you have it right.
    Not Debatable.

I'm not arguing against what he's done. I'm arguing against how much can really be attributed to him. It really is arguable as to whether he is one of the greatest ever. I have no doubt that he will be inducted into the hall of fame, but that doesn't automatically make him one of the greatest. I believe when he is inducted, it will have been on the backs of others added to his own talents. I'm not saying he's a bad player, but the system and the players he works with make him look better. In the first week, Garoppolo did well in the position. How much of that can be attributed to him? Is he going to be one of the greatest? Is he just a good fit for the system as well? The accomplishment of hall of fame is partially stats and partially a popularity contest. Can you say with certainty that all of the players in the hall of fame are the greatest? Think about this. If Harbaugh had continued to be the coach of the 49ers, Kaepernik would have been on a path to the hall of fame. Without him, though, how did Kaepernik do?

The whining is annoying, but I don't give a $#@! about the "pretty boy" thing. Why should I?

Of course it's arguable, and refusing to entertain the notion shows that you're the one that doesn't have a clue.

Is anyone still thinking that the Patriots will or should get rid of Tom Brady?

I never said that they would or should. It really wouldn't hurt them in the end either way, though.

This fuss they are making over his return is beyond silly. They are treating this like the second coming of the messiah.

They went 3-1 without him. In the first four games of the 2014 season, they went 2-2 with him.

At this point, they know they can win with or without him. It would make economic sense to trade him off for some high-level draft picks and go with Garappolo. Once Garappolo is done, they can go with Brissett. They save money and they still get to be an AFC powerhouse.
