That is something for the politicians to work out. We clearly have problems with the so-called moderate rebels.

We should have supported Assad from the beginning of this clown show.

Agreed. The ME needs rulers like Assad, Hussein, el-Sisi etc.

We imported 10,000+ of them. Almost zero religious minorities from Syria- the truly deserving of asylum.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere that there was more than the US and the Soviets fighting the Nazis in WW2.

In fact, the war started in 1939, and up to 1941 for the Russians, and 1944 for the Americans, it was British and Commonwealth forces who mostly fought alone against the Nazis. And I also remember reading that by 1942, after the invasion of Russia, Germany was desperately short of oil, as well as steel and aluminium. So not to take anything away from the Soviet victories, and the Americans on D-Day, they were both fighting a much weaker enemy.

Since it was the British who declared war on Germany and started WWII, only to drag America into their European quarrel after the fact, it makes sense that they would have been fighting the longest. And don't forget, the USA was fighting in the Pacific theater as well.

Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

It sounds like you think joining the effort against Hitler was a mistake.

    Way to go, William!

Republicans dragged their feet every step of the way. Republican hero Charles Lindbergh risked his us citizenship so that he could accept the iron cross from Hitler. Detroit designed and built troop Carriers among other things for the german war machine. George hw bush's father prescott, was charged with aiding the enemy.

Those were dark and irresponsible times.
