The Top 5 Issues Facing Black Americans

This is Taleeb Starkes. He wrote Black Lies Matter: Why Lies Matter to the Race Grievance Industry. That's all I know about him. I would assume, this being PragerU, he's conservative, perhaps. Some of what he says, especially about family, strikes be as being true. The race grievance industry is probably what some of us would call playing the race card.

Anyway, listen, and offer reactions to what he says, please.

This is a fairly typical summary of how conservatives tend to approach societal problems, but not anything that I think offers any new insights. Some of his points are fair. Others are simplistic and neglect reality - for instance, what role does mass incarceration for victimless, non-violent crimes play in breaking up families? In creating a feeling of victimhood? How does systemic racism impact the ability of people to accumulate capital over generations? That kind of thing.

His point is that black people can't address those issues until they address the issues of black people.

And how are they supposed to do that? Individuals are not created in a vacuum. They can and do react to their surroundings and environment. And for many, many blacks, that environment is rife with discrimination, violence, fear and neglect.

    Thanks for sharing Chris ...

I think every Black Man should have a copy of this in their cars, and they should play it, but not too loud, each time they see Red Flashing Lights in their Rear-view Mirror. So that every Black Man can remember, "don't be the victim anymore".

So you disagree with him then? Why? I'd like to hear your opinions.
