Just sing Born to Run, Bruce.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

People always say that..."Just sing" or just play or dance or whatever. I take no issue with people with media attention speaking their mind. Particularly musicians like Bruce who have always used their music to explore difficult subjects.

I know nobody here supports that idiot Ted Nugent, but I haven't heard anyone say, "just sing" to crazy old Ted. Probably because his music is crap.

I don't tell Ted to just sing because...I honestly don't know any of his songs. Bruce is a good musician but most of his best songs have nothing whatsoever to do with politics. Working class heroes don't live in Rumson NJ.

He peaked before your time. He was big in the 1980s.

Maybe not politics directly, but even Born to Run is about urban decay and the angst associated with it. This American dream that really wasn't.

He certainly had overtly political songs like Born in the USA, American Skin and Lost in the Flood.

I was thinking about Born in the USA when I posted that. That was the only big hit that came to mind. What's funny about that song is that very few people actually took it in the spirit in which it was meant.

People usually just listen to the chorus and don't understand the meaning. Sort of like Trump, who introduced his campaign to "Keep on Rocking in the Free World".

lol it happens all the time. I have to admit I kind of enjoy that sort of thing.
