Now, that does seem to be the message, that without a supreme being we end up with might is right and we end up in trouble.

The founders, many if them, would have argued that supreme being is nature, Nature's Laws and Nature’s God. If we don't obey that, we end up in the same place as you're saying, as the video says.

Watched the old Star Trek movie "The Final Frontier" last night. Fairly stupid movie, even for Star Trek but one thing was they thought they have found God. The point was made that all of the various cultures had a name for God and for heaven. Now, I realize Star Trek is fantasy and there are no such things as Klingon's but the truth is every culture here on earth does have a belief in a Supreme Being or God if you will. They may have different names but the idea of God is universal and I suspect if we ever do find other off world civilizations they will have a belief in God as well

To me, a belief in God is a belief is something greater than myself, something that will guide me and give me a path to follow. I believe fully and completely in God and cannot imagine life where only my own decisions are what determines good and evil.

Primitive cultures where family was all centered on ancestor worship as religion. Buddhists don't worship a god but do have nirvana as a sort of heaven. To say God is universal reminds me of Deists who saw God and Nature as one, though an immanent God and not a transcendent one. So if we broaden the meaning of God then you're right.
