Cellulitis is actually surprisingly common. People with any form of peripheral neuropathy can't really feel when they injure themselves (includes diabetics, who also get ulcers more frequently).
Hope you're feeling better. It's a crappy thing to have. Usually, you get 3-5 days of IV Ancef and sometimes the "good" drugs for pain.
Side note: It could be worse. I had a case many years ago where there was autoamputation of the toes secondary to a cellulitis infection in an IV drug user that went ignored for too long... very extreme case, but if I ever have children I will push first aid knowledge and say, "You know, it really could fall off..." Makes for a good life lesson. Well, that and just don't do drugs, I guess.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

Back in April 2011, I had to stay overnight in the hospital with an inflamed intestine. It hurt to pee, breathe, just generally exist. They thought it was appendicitis at first.
Other than that, only time I've been to the hospital since '05 was last Saturday (the 8th). My dad had a light stroke.
Hope you get better!
