That's interesting. But it's too bad sweet peppers are among the top 12 most contaminated fruits and veggies. I saw it on the "dirty" list of "Top Dirty Dozen And Clean 15 Foods."
I've never seen organic peppers in my area, but if they do exist, they'd likely be too expensive.

I can get organic green peppers from the farmers market. I don't think that I have seen them at the local Harris Teeter.

So the female peppers are bitter and stringy while the male peppers are chewy and stinky?
