At the bottom where Thanks and Report Post are located, it also says Hide Postbits. Then you don't see all of the data on each poster, or the avatar.

I don't think that's it. I click that by accident ever once in a while then avatars disappear then I fix it.
This thing just seemed to start happening suddenly.

The only thing that I know that adds space is postbits. They consume space. If you have space without postbits, I don't know why. I haven't experienced it.

I've noticed that too, just lately. When you go to quote someone, it puts three lines between paragraphs in what you're quoting. It's a little distracting, but of course it disappears once you post.
