Roger Goodell has singlehandedly ruined the best game ever.

There is a reason nobody is watching this crap anymore.

He is teh O'bama of the sports world no doubt.

It's the most-watched sport league in the world and the Super Bowl is the most-watched sporting event in the world.

In an election year where several debates were during primetime games...not so much.

Plus, it doesn't measure viewing via alternative media.

My initial impulse was to ridicule this post but I have more respect for you than many members here.

If this was the case - NFL ratings down because it's an election year then the same phenomenon would have been present in prior election years.

That and a debate might, might I impress impact what - 3 individual games?

Nah, that's not the case. It's marketing the NFL to everyone but NFL fans, the constant ridiculous rule changes and all of the off-the-field issues that are evermore present.

That and millenniums only need soundbytes of games on their phones (for their fantasy teams), why watch the whole game?

The NFL needs a new regime, that markets to fans, not foreigners. And produces a product that is worth watching.

I won't disagree that Goodell needs to be sacked (pun fully intended) and that he's been bad for the league. Having one of the dirtiest coaches in the game (Jeff Fisher) on the competition committee doesn't help.
