Texas Drought Turns Weekend Warriors Into Looters of Artifacts, Fossils.....

When the weather is right, Lake Whitney State Park in Texas is a wonderful place for outdoor weekend athletes to get their fix. From boating, fishing, scuba diving and water skiing, the lake offers it all.

Both fossils and Native American tools have turned up at Lake Whitney. You have to go back at least 20 years since anyone has seen the formerly remote underwater caverns that have been exposed by the historic drought. For some visitors it has been exciting and new. But for others it has been a lesson in criminal law.

It's against Texas and federal regulations to remove Native American artifacts from archaeological sites. But WFAA reports burial sites from ancient times have been disturbed.

The 955-acre park is located near the ruins of Towash Village, an early Texas settlement named for the chief of Hainai Indians, who moved into the region in 1934.

So far, law enforcement has arrested 30 people for committing the crimes against history. Each was fined thousands of dollars and placed on probation.....snip~

That sucks.....so they can fine ya and arrest ya for finding something worth some big time money. Whats that about? Fed Law too.

Weird. How would you even go about selling something like that? EBay? They can track that stuff.

Stealing stuff from a burial ground would hurt your karma. And you know I am all about the karma. ;D

Cosmo Power Co. President Shoji Tanaka holds a bar in a spherical earthquake and tsunami shelter "Noah" made of fiber enforced plastic at the company's factory in Hiratsuka, west of Tokyo, Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. The Japanese generator maker has developed a modern version of Noah's Ark in case Japan is hit by another massive earthquake and tsunami. The company of just 10 employees completed the first Noah, that has 1.2 meters (4 feet) in diameter and can hold up to four adults inside, earlier this month and already has 500 orders.....snip~

Hmmm CL.....D, you and I should start up one of these and start marketing them out by you. Bet we could make us some money. I say we throw in a radio transmitter. Plus like a relief package with some water and some MRE's. Just in case they swept out to those far flung currents.

Smart Idea.....ya have to give him some credit.

Hmm...that doesn't look like the safest contraption to me. What happens when you get washed out at sea? I agree your idea of a radio transmitter is a good one. Still someone has to go pick your azz up. I guess some kind of protection is better than none. Quick, everyone into the bubble!

I knew you were going to throw up Juggalo Island. Too funny...

That's true, all the little lotto balls could get pinned up against a cliff somewhere, getting smashed into the rocks with each wave. Fun times! Origato Mr. Roboto!

thats right they just said they can float. They didnt say they was crush proof. Better throw that in our design. Plus then we can advertize as to those who really get into the Idea of being the Ball. We could come up with a whole new sport. Ocean Racketball. Feel what it's like to score!

Big-voiced R&B diva Vesta Williams, perhaps best-known for her 1980s hits "Don't Blow A Good Thing" and "Congratulations," has been found dead of a possible drug overdose in a Southern California hotel room, coroner's investigators said Friday. She was 53.....snip~

    http://movies.yahoo.com/news/wow-jul...135928947.html

Like her peers Sandra Bullock and Demi Moore, Julia Roberts just keeps getting more gorgeous with age.

The 43-year-old Oscar winner showed off her endless legs in a black ruffled mini dress with sexy platform sandals at the premiere of her new movie, Fireflies In The Garden in New York City on Wednesday night.....snip~

Give me a fricken break.....Julia Roberts. What, because she did the movie Pretty Woman people think she is good looking. Not even in the top 100. Moreover who is the writer of this piece. They act like 43 year old women dont show off their legs. Of Course Julia is going to show off her legs it is the only attractive feature she has.

Noticing in any of her movies when she goes to kiss a guy she damn near chews off half of the actors face. Not to mention the only ones that ever make a big deal about her is Hollywood. All because she got to star with some of the big name actors. Trust me ask any from the Midwest to name off some top good looking women. The last thing you will hear is Julia Roberts Name. She can go to Soap Operas its about all she can handle as an actress.

Just look at the head lines.....Julia Roberts Rocks Mini-dress.

Julia Roberts wows in mini-dress. Flashes legs. Gets more gorgeous with age. (Who you trying to fool.) Then for her to say Reynolds is a good boy. 33yrs old he is a good boy to her. Yet she is only 43. Wake the $#@! up Hollywood. Plain Janes are nothing more than Plain Janes. Quit trying to make more $#@! up than what is already there. Julia Roberts is only fair for a square. She is a Plain Jane. Average looking woman and there is nothing more to say about her. Give me a break.....she wows. More like Bow-wows!
