Norway? Before or after Nazi annexation? Australia...before or after the defeat of Imperial Japan?

    Oops

Australia must import what % of its' oil products? They still rely heavily on ME oil, yes? Norway, nearly the exact opposite, oil and natural gas it's largest export as it relies on the European Markets and their demand for energy for their economic prosperity.

I was addressing your flawed comment that "Donttread enjoys the highest standard of living in world history" and your inference that his can only happen by taking. I was also talking about today, not your ancient history. The fact is we do not enjoy the world's best real SOL and the nations that do are non-imperialist mostly non-interventionist. How do you square that wwith your theory that we must take to prosper? And please no more bable about bygone eras when war and imperialism were conducted much differently.

The term "superpower" in the context of international relations and foreign affairs has nothing whatsoever to do with the comic book conception of "superpowers."

None of the nations ahead of us in standard of living are non-interventionist or non-imperialist except Switzerland. They don't intervene as extensively as us because they don't have the capability, it has nothing to do with desire. When they can, they always sign on to our interventions, like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were intervening in Libya before we were.

The comment isn't flawed. The Member it was intended for isn't aware that a Norway isn't even f'n there if not for the United States and its' opposition to Nazi Germany and an aggressive Iron Curtain. Norway...as an example....has in fact been able to spend a fraction of its' GDP on defense spending and export it's products(petroleum and natural gas) to a peaceful and prosperous European Continent that the United States has spend multi trillions over nearly the entire 20th century and since defending. It owes this nation donttread......for the security of not only western Europe, but its' own borders that include Russia.

You cannot see, donttread......that a Norway.....just as an example....doesn't directly benefit from the peace and prosperity of the much greater European Continent? That in fact what has led to this standard of living you claim is so great.....is because someone else has defended freedom and free will, that Europe was rebuilt and defended against after devastating wars.....to become economically viable and consumers of Norwegian products allowing then for Norwegian prosperity. You cannot see...the direct influence of the United States on that reality.....

....and then are going to tell me they have a higher standard of living?

I'm just waiting for you to stop being sarcastic and start saying something that means something. Should I wait long?
