Clearly? Clearly? I saw that Trump's approval rating has gone up. I wonder if this means that the general public have liked the picks.
Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect. -- Woody Hayes

No, Clinton would not have been a better choice, and let me tell you why in one phrase - Us and Them.
Her views on Russia, her attitudes towards them - that would have been a disaster. Clinton has always, ALWAYS, been a hawk. She's the quintessential example of outdated and dangerous foreign policy. She's stuck in the mid-20th century Evil Empire, Us and Them ideology that led on so many occasions to the very real and terrifying possibility of nuclear confrontation. I completely believe that her Presidency would lead us into another cold war, especially in this crucial time. Trump may be an unpredictable driver, but at least he isn't trying to make us crash. I am happy that she lost. Ecstatic, even.
Ironically, international relations is the one (and only) area in which I more agreed with Hillary Clinton, since she seemed to take a much tougher stance here. (Donald Trump--whom I much prefer in most other ways--seems rather conciliatory to our adversaries here--especially to Russia--whereas Hillary Clinton seems rather confrontational in this regard.)
In fact, one tabloid (I think it was the National Enquirer; but I am not certain) went as far as to run a headline suggesting that WWIII was inevitable if Hillary Clinton were to win the presidency.
Vladimir Putin even intoned that "If it's Hillary Clinton, its war."

This is an exercise in futility.
Crooked lost.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.
I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.
I agree, and that's why I didn't support her. That said, Clinton framed it very well. Putin is more afraid of a president than a puppet. Putin know how to roll Trump, so should most leaders at this point. And if Russia doesn't want to be treated like an evil empire, it should stop acting like one.
