Mrs. U is looking into the diaper issue. She'd never let Maggie under surgery, no matter how safe the vet said it was. That dog follows her around 24/7 now that #1 is married and #2 is in pharmacy school.

I agree if you mean with a vet and a injection so the animal feels no pain, but me, I'll do anything possible first.

I would too, but a quick bullet to a vital is likely more painless. I shot a hog with a 44 pistol, double lung shot, ran 15 foot, squealed twice, stone dead.

Dogs are pack animals. You, your family are their pack. The depend upon you and when you decided to adopt them you made the decision to be there for them until they leave us. They won't desert you, they'll travel across the country to get back home to you if they somehow get taken from you, but Goddamn it, that is more than most humans will do. Give them the best life you can for as long as you can.
