Always racist. Always. The truth is that it had nothing to do with the color of his skin and everything to do with the content of his agenda. Yet, keep selling it.

Barack Obama is a highly intelligent, articulate, self-effacing man with an excellent sense of humor. He epitomizes those qualities to at least as great an extent as any President in my memory, and I go back to Kennedy.
I've seen people on this board and others suggest that he is stupid, illiterate, a poor speaker, etc., when nothing could be farther from the truth. Of the possible explanations for these wildly inaccurate negative characterizations, racism is one, certainly; anyone who believes that all of the White racists suddenly vanished, became mute or forgot how to work a computer on 1/20/09 is gravely mistaken.
On the other hand, we have all seen recent examples of public figures - actors and singers, in particular - who, when they happen to express a political opinion that runs counter to what some folks like to hear, are suddenly subject to the most negative judgments imaginable with regard to their talents. Singers "sound awful", actors "have zero talent" and writers are "hacks". It apparently isn't enough that a celeb is disagreed with...their professional talents must be denigrated or denied altogether. The notion that a performer could be good at what they do and disagree with them is, for whatever reason, intolerable. Similarly, giving President Obama credit as an excellent speaker, a highly educated and intelligent person, and a decent human being is intolerable to certain people.
