Come sit down beside me I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I held my own hand as a small sign of trust
And together I sat on the fence

I agree with you, but by the same token there are a lot of Euros, Aussies, and god help me Kiwis who love to slam the US having never visited here. We're a bit of a trip (in more ways than one)...and just like we are influenced by the leaders of foreign governments, it's really easy to watch Dubya or Obama and draw all kinds of conclusions about a nation even though it's silly to generalize 310 million people or so.
At the end of the day both sides of that argument are pretty ignorant IMO.

You doubt. So you don't know. Got it.
As I said you own bias and bigotry towards that statement overrides the facts you know.Generally people who make those kinds of herpy derpy "USA USA USA is the best country in the world!" kinds of statements know the least about living in other modern civilized technological 1st world countries. It's like how someone saying "I'm intelligent" usually doesn't show much intelligence.
Besides, you already admitted you don't have to visit every country to conclude yours is better and he could have easily done that as well.
NZ only needs two more letters to become NAZI. Think about it. -Conley
I $#@!ing love NZ. Seriously, just looking at photos gives me insta-wood. Your education system is awesome IMO -- and that's the best path to class mobility. Education is the path to empowerment, not handing out free money from the government (really taxpayers). You'd be hard pressed to find many Americans who know a lot about NZ but that's doesn't mean they're bad people.
Plus you and I have shot the $#@! about All Blacks but you never remember, and don't stick around long enough to establish any friendships here...your goal seems to be only to point out that America has a lot to work on. It's easy to complain, harder to find commonalities and work to make things better for everyone.
