    How's that?
    That's awesome.

My biggest objection is your slam of 80s music...but that's for another time

I forgot your writers - like Steinbeck, Hemingway, Mark Twain, possibly Fitzgerald (though I haven't read him)

Anyone who hates 80s music was either born after 1990 or doesn't have a soul. That's not even debatable!!!

As with any era, some of it was good. I'll grant you a few of its singers and/or styles.

The 80s was the most experimental, in my opinion, though it's hard to beat some of the weirder stuff from the 70s. New technology in the 80s, new sounds. There were so many new styles created in the 80s.
Sorry--but I do not accept the idea that being intolerant of intolerance is THE SAME THING as being intolerant of anything else.

Great observation - I was going to go here but didn't for some reason.

80's was experimental. 90's was identity confusion and now it's all about who gets picked to be the new flavor of the day.

And why real music enthusiasts are turning back to the underground for honest stuff.

Funny how things come full circle.

Yeah, unfortunately the 80s wasn't the best for the rock genre; 70s and 90s for rock.
