Earlier this month, President George H.W. Bush sent his regrets on not being able to attend the upcoming presidential Inauguration, according to a note that has circulated across several media outlets.

I hope Bush Sr. doesn't pass today or tomorrow -- that would certainly cast a gloomy shadow over the inauguration. But, with both he and Barbara in the hospital, it's always a possibility. I hope both of them get better.

All the other former Presidents will attend -- Carter, GWB, Clinton, and Obama of course.

I wonder if Malia and Natasha will teach young Trump how to slide down the banister the way the Bush twins taught them to do.

Neither he nor his wife would be able to attend. Both are in the hospital. HW was taken in 2 days ago. Then Barbara yesterday.
