Was recently asked about tagging.

There's two kinds of tagging, content and members.

Tagging Content

When you tag content you make it easier to find topics.

Just enter comma-delimited tags under the message of a new topic:



The tags show up under What's New?



Advanced Search let's you search for tags:



And you get points and an award -- go to Profile:





Tagging Members

Tagging members gets their attention.

At the top of threads is a box for this:



Click the button and enter member names as instructed:



Then click Submit. They will be notified and added to the tag list:



The number of times you do this is listed under your avatar:



Your Profile should have a tab to record tagging and getting tagged:

I do that if forum search can't find. Google is good at it.

your post should show right up in a search, if you fill out the tags.............at least that's how it worked the last time I tagged in here.

Startpage uses goole and keeps your searches private.
