Some do... but Saudi Arabia has been sending promising young Saudi to the US for education since 1950.. and now there is a huge change in the accepted method of education.. from rote to critical thinking.

Plus, there are now 260,000 scholarships for graduate level education in the US and Europe in engineering, medicine, international law, maritime law, finance and so on.

I'm not one of those loons who believe all of Islam is a bunch of radical child killers, just some of them. I do believe that much of Islam, while not radical is somewhat sympathetic to radical Islam. And many of them are just like everyone else, they're just doing their thing.

As long as the sympathizers and regular Muslims continue to not distance themselves from radical Islam, they will all be bunched into one category for the most part and I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

While I am NOT an expert on much of anything.. I have spent a lot of time talking with Saudi women and young journalists.. they hate radicals as undermining their progress and more practical goals of synthesizing culture and tradition with modernity.
